Bang & Olufsen has partnered with Italian crypto artist duo Hackatao for its first-ever nonfungible token (NFT) collection.
It has been reported that the Danish high-end consumer electronics company is bringing together design, art, and music in its first such project. Titled ‘Bang & Olufsen DNA Collection,’ the NFTs designed by Hackatao and other Web3 artists will feature unique designs based on B&O’s digital products.
However, the Bang & Olufsen DNA Collection is an edition of 1925 NFTs created in partnership with leading Web3 artists. In fact, “1925” represents the year the iconic company was founded. With its first NFT project, B&O is officially entering the metaverse, with many rewards lined up for its community members.
The report said that the collaborating artists include Hackatao, Thomas Lin Pedersen, and Shavonne Wong. Meanwhile, musicians such as RAC and Gramatik & Luxas have added their musical charm to the project. Each NFT in the collection represents a unique digital object from B&O. The Beogram 4000 turntable, the Beoplay A9, the Beolab 90 Speakers. Additionally, the futuristic digital design ‘The Beoverse Alpha’ will spearhead the collection.
Likewise, for its partnership with Bang & Olufsen, Hackatao will involve some of its community members as well. To elaborate, six Queens+Kings collectors will hack their Royal NFT for Hackatao to customize it. The artists will then apply it to the B&O products to create their artistic DNA collection.
Thus, those who mint the NFTs will also get a random, dynamic “Art Vial” in December, followed by a “Music Vial”. These will then merge with the NFT to create a spectacular piece. The Bang & Olufsen DNA collection will drop on B&O’s dedicated NFT website.
