Binance Begins Delivering Its Crypto-Powered Debit Cards

Major cryptocurrency exchange Binance begins delivering its crypto-powered debit cards to customers after months of waiting, planning and testing.

On July 25, CEO of Binance Changpeng Zhao, also known as CZ confirmed in a tweet:

This started shipping in limited quantities as of yesterday, I heard. #Binance Card https://t.co/pM4KUNdmjp — CZ Binance (@cz_binance) July 25, 2020

In previous reports, Binance Card showed an August launch in the European regions. This signifies that the CEO meant shipping to European customers at this time.

Binance unveiled its plans for a crypto-fueled debit card back in April 2020, called Binance Card.

Likewise, Binance went on to acquire crypto debit card business Swipe, simultaneously with its plan to acquire the Binance Card.

On July 10, CZ tested out the payment option as a part of the product’s initial experimentation.

By July, Binance announced its plans for an August card launch in certain European regions, including compatibility with four digital assets, including Bitcoin and Binance’s BNB asset.

Binance has posted a plethora of headlines in 2020 amid a wild year, the recent development of the Binance’s card proves that the cryptocurrency exchange continues to rise.
