Toei Animation, the creator of iconic Dragon Ball, has announced its partnership with The Sandbox for a brand new metaverse game and other experiences.
It has been reported that together with Minto, Inc, the collaborators aim to bring the Japanese animation brand’s most popular characters to all nonfungible token (NFT) collectors. In fact, the first 1K users to sign up for the new experience will get a limited-edition NFT from The Sandbox.
However, Toei Animation, one of the leading Japanese animation companies, is officially joining The Sandbox metaverse for a new game experience! Starting this year, the iconic metaverse can use Toei Animation’s intellectual properties to create Web3 versions of fans’ all-time favorite shows.
The report said that from Sailor Moon to Dragon Ball, some of the most popular Japanese animations of all time come from this company.
Satoshi Shinohara, the Managing Director of Toei Animation, said:
“Toei Animation is now ready to set sail into this new ocean. We are very happy and proud to be working with The Sandbox and Minto as our partners. I am confident that the “Fleet” we have assembled will be able to discover new continents and new routes that will guide the entertainment industry for years to come.”
The Sandbox aims to celebrate the new collaboration in an unforgettable way. The first 1,000 users to register on The Sandbox game platform will a limited-edition NFT.
Animoca Brands (the parent company of The Sandbox) revealed their latest investment: Virtual Arts. This platform basically supports young talents allowing dancers to show off and expand their skills.
Thus, with Animoca Brands Japan by their side, Virtual Arts aims to grow their debut experience, an app called Dancefight.
