Maison Hennessy Partners With Friends With Benefits DAO To Launch NFT Collection

Maison Hennessy, the iconic cognac maker, has partnered with Friends With Benefits DAO to drop a nonfungible token (NFT) collection.

It has been reported that the NFTs will give holders access to Café 11, a new Web3 initiative from the brand. In essence, Café 11 will serve as a “dynamic artistic space” giving Hennessy fans a host of benefits, both virtually and in real life.

However, Café 11 by Hennessy and Friends With Benefits is named after the hour at the Hennessy Tasting Committee meets. With this initiative, the cognac maker is bringing its 257-year-old legacy to the Web3 sector, creating a curated space to meet, share, and create.

The report said that the exclusive café is accessible to all Café 11 NFT holders as well as Friends With Benefits members. While New York-based artist, John Dessereau designed the NFTs, Friends With Benefits served the role of a “creative agency”. The collection will only have 1765 NFTs to reflect the year of Hennessy’s founding. The NFTs went on sale on November 4, at $450 each.

Likewise, to celebrate the launch of Café 11, Hennessy will host a real-life inaugural event at Art Basel Miami on 1 December 2022. To clarify, attendees will get to experience cognac tastings, a range of culinary and entertainment events, live music, exhibitions, and other experiences.

Thus, Laurent Boillot, the President and CEO of Hennessy, said:

“At Hennessy, we believe in supporting avant-garde creations. Embracing local cultures always has been at the heart of our process for more than 250 years. Like Hennessy, FWB has a deep-rooted passion for art and culture. And, like Hennessy, FWB brings together a vibrant community of diverse, inspiring creatives from every horizon: Hennessy and FWB are shaping a world of possibilities both digitally and IRL.”
