Telos, one of the most active blockchain, has recently announced partnerships with three gaming companies BlockBastards, Farm Game, and Area X on April 28 for bringing blockchain features to the games on the Unity and Steam platforms.
The Telos Foundation is a decentralized, independent, not-for-profit organization charged with the role of promoting the blockchain network of the future.
BlockBastards
Based in Portugal, BlockBastards is a software development company that creates decentralized blockchain products in the areas of AI, gaming and reputation management.
The company’s new platform, called Qudo, will offer game developers a player engagement mechanism that rewards gaming activity and performance with a cryptocurrency, while promoting their games.
It has been reported that Telos’ partnership with BlockBastards will see the network host the company’s upcoming Qudo platform, along with providing marketing and technical support. However, Qudo is a token-based reward mechanism, which revolves around proof-of-gameplay that can be combined into any game built using the Unity platform.

It has been analyzed that users can be rewarded for achieving certain goals, or simply for racking up hours of play.
According to Unity’s own figures, over 3.3 billion devices have run games that built on the platform in the past year, so that Qudo could potentially see a huge audience exposed to cryptocurrency rewards.
Also, the platform allows developers to focus on the gameplay experience by adding cryptocurrency rewards without a need for prior blockchain experience.
João Abrantes, the Managing Director of Blockbastards, said:
“In traditional gaming, we’ve seen that in-game credit systems tend to make the most money, and now we can offer this same experience on-chain with Qudo, running on the Telos network.”
Farm Game
The report says that the Farm Game platform enables betting on games such as Counter-Strike, DOTA 2, and others on the Steam service, as sponsors can also create competition matches online by offering Telos (TLOS) tokens as prizes.
Since 2019, the Steam platform supported over 34,000 games and over 95 million monthly active users.
Area X
Area X is a social network of free HTML 5 games, which built on the Telos blockchain and awarding prizes in TLOS and other tokens. Area X also holds tournaments whereas; players pay a small entry fee in the hope of winning more tokens.
Suvi Rinkinen, the CEO of Telos Foundation, described the company’s desire to support the development of blockchain-based games.
Thus, Rinkinen added:
“We’re so glad to have Qudo coming to Telos, expanding its strength as a gaming platform. There are numerous benefits to integrating blockchain technology into games, and we look forward to working with Qudo, Area X, and Farm Game to ensure Telos helps them maximize their performance.”
Since Qudo will run on the Telos blockchain, the Telos Foundation will be working with BlockBastards to provide marketing and technical support heading into the launch by the end of the second quarter.
