Reports said that Theta Network, Sony Entertainment India, and Ideographic have launched a unique collection of Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan’s nonfungible tokens (NFTs).
It has been reported that the series of artworks celebrate the megastar’s 80th birthday. A multi-city NFT exhibition titled “A Movable Feast” will see on display 51 curated artworks that paint the life and times of the cultural idol. However, this unique collection not only celebrates a culture colossus, but also marks the 75th Anniversary of India’s independence. Furthermore, the collection ties in Amitabh’s legendary career and how it mirrors India’s magnificent culture.
Namrata Singh, the Head of Digital and Metaverse, Sony Entertainment India, said:
“There are very few people who it can be said have defined an era and a nation like Amitabh Bachchan. If this collection brings a fraction of the joy that Amitabh has brought throughout his art and career, we can consider this endeavor a success.”
The report said that Amitabh Bachchan, is also a well-known figure both in Bollywood and the blockchain. In November 2021, his debut NFT drops sold over $966,000! NFTs for “A Moveable Feast” are available for purchase across auctions, limited editions, and packs on the ThetaDrop NFT Marketplace.
Likewise, to clarify, on October 21st the NFT packs will reveal the artwork. As a result, collectors will earn $TDROP tokens for combining multiple NFT pieces from the collection and completing challenges. The collection features artwork from 45 distinct artists.
